My name is Sergey Dmitriev and I enjoy challenges. This is the main reason why I moved to Prague from Russia in 2010, learned Czech language and entered The University of Economics, Prague (VŠE), in 2011. I dreamt about my own project where all my ideas could be implemented, so as my next challenge was in establishing my own real estate agency in 2015. However, every time I reached my goal, I understood, that I could do more.
One of my biggest dreams was programming. I spent much time and made efforts just to get every opportunity to study this subject. I have the greatest respect for the profession such as a programmer. Programming helps people to fight cancer, predict car accidents, Furthermore, I strongly believe that programming is vital to the modern world. There are many reasons for my decision to start coding, but the main point is – I do love it and I strongly believe, that I can help this world, using my skills.
Started this project as a front-end developer. I was responsible for a ING Bank main web: ing.cz. My key role was to implement Polymer.js library in an already existing web-site. The next goal was in optimising polymer build output using Rollup.js builder.

03.2019 - present: React developer in Generali Czech Insurance
Started as junior React developer, I had to study a huge CRM system, that was created for insurance agents and their managers
First three months, my role was in bugfixing, writing End-to-End tests and preparing technical documentation.
In first quarter I was a part of a small agile team of 12 people, where 3 of them was front-end developers.
In the next quarter two front-end developers were relocated on other projects, so I become a one developer who supported and developed the whole system on front-end side.
For the moment, my role has been widened by a preparing monthly updates, managing different versions of application on
development, pre-production and production environments.
